Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous.
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us -- it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others

That poem is very deep i think it just shows who you are a person
The only person who can stop you, is you! God has ordained it, that life and death resides within the power of the tongue, so it is up to you to be the life and the light that God has called you to be, without the fear of your own success as it is your birthrite.
I really like this poem is deep and its true. If I enterped it correctly I think it means that our deepest fear is to succed or be great. And in some ways thats true because you see people that have great personalities, and they just do everything good until it comes down to the classroom. So I really like this poem.
i think that this poem was good because it is talking about how people is affried to show there good side because cuz of wat others might think of them it also talks about how peole tend to be interesed in the wrong things and should be worrited about the things god has planned for them.
I THINK THAT THIS POEM IS TELLING THE TRUTH BECAUSE IT TELLS WHO SOME PEOPLE IS AS A PERSON. THE POEM ALSO LETS YOU KNOW NOT TO BE SCARED OF WHO YOU ARE OR TO SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO AS A PERSON.
I agree with Ralph "King of Ace" Johnson. The poem simply states that our success lies in our hands, and if we fail, it's because we are afraid to shine.
